Chris Potter

American saxophonist and composer who has recorded prolifically as both a leader and a sideman. His latest album and his debut for the ECM label is “The Sirens” (2013), a song cycle based on Homer’s “The Odyssey”. An all star band features Potter (tenor & soprano sax, bass clarinet), Craig Taborn (piano), David Virelles (prepared piano, celeste, harmonium), Larry Grenadier (double bass) and Eric Harland (drums).
