Fred Hersch
American pianist based in New York City who has worked with many of the greats across a variety of jazz styles. A superb solo piano performer the live album “Alone At The Vanguard” (Palmetto Records) documents this aspect of his work.
“Alive At The Vanguard” (2012) features him at the same venue leading a trio featuring double bassist John Hebert and drummer Eric McPherson.
