ARTIST PROFILE

Hannes Riepler

Austrian born guitarist and composer based in London since 2006. He is a member of American trumpeter Andre Canniere’s Group and of Danish pianist Esben Tjalve’s band Red Kite.
Riepler also leads his own groups and his quintet album “The Brave” was released on Jellymould Records in June 2012. The line up features Kit Downes (piano), Tom Challenger (tenor sax), Ryan Trebilcock (double bass) and Jon Scott (drums).
Riepler also runs the popular Tuesday night jam sessions at Charlie Wright’s International Bar in Hoxton.

Second album “Wild Life” (Jellymould) released February 2016 with a line up featuring American tenor saxophonist Chris Cheek and the British rhythm team of Oli Hayhurst (double bass) and James Maddren (drums).
