Nat Birchall
Manchester based saxophonist and composer with a deep seated love for the modal and “spiritual” jazz of John Coltrane, Alice Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders. He has recorded three albums exploring this legacy for trumpeter Matthew Halsall’s Gondwana record label. The most recent, “Sacred Dimension” (2011) features Adam Fairhall (piano), Corey Mwamba (vibes), Rachel Gladwin (harp), Nick Blacka (bass) and Andy Hay (drums).
