Gigs for March and April.

Gigs You Wouldn’t Want To Miss!

Distractions from Brexit!
It seems as if there’s no escape from Brexit! But at least there are diversions…

Joe O’Donnell’s Shkayla presents a new set combining the pick of our older favourites and some of the high points from ‘Gael’s Vision’. This is at The Arches Venue, Coventry on March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day).

As ever the tunes continue to evolve and there will be things you have never heard before! Please keep up…. wink  Our set starts at 8.00pm.

Earlier in March Shkayla Trio (Joe, Martin and Si) will be appearing at The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum for the opening of ‘Irish Heart, Coventry Home’, an oral history project run by Coventry Irish Society aided by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

SugarDaddies are back for another Blues Party at The Somerville with surprise guests (they’re sometimes a surprise to us too!) We’ve had several ‘debutantes’ recently, and there’s always time for a number or two if you want to play or sing the Blues.

Meanwhile In The Moment’s plans for International Jazz Day are taking exciting shape. Trombone star Annie Whitehead will join Interplay for some joyous grooves as well as classy blowing. Annie’s credits range from McCoy Tyner and Carla Bley to Joan Armatrading, Elvis Costello, the Charlie Watts Big Band and the cream of progressive British jazz.

Tickets for the gig on April 29th are now on sale. There is more information about Annie and the gig, which also features the fine and uplifting singer Letitia George, on Interplay’s web site.
