On November 15th 2009 Black Mountain Jazz host the first night of this new series with a visit from Bennett Soundy and his Blues Sax Quartet.

Club stalwart Mike Skilton has forwarded us details as below;

Next Sunday, the 15th November, Black Mountain Jazz welcomes Bennett Soundy and his Blues Sax Quartet. This is an important night for the Club, as it is the first of a number of programmed Showcase nights that will feature up-and-coming jazz artists, sponsored by UKJAZZRADIO.COM.

Bennett Soundy is fast getting noticed as one of the top young sax players in the UK and many tip him for high peaks. With his exciting Blues Sax Quartet, this is not to be missed.

Black Mountain Jazz was selected by UKJAZZRADIO.COM as it’s Wales Spotlight Club, which is a credit to the support of it’s members. Please support this evening in numbers - as well as promising an exciting programme, it is an opportunity to build up our funds to support an ongoing programme - we can keep the proceeds from ticket sales, which will be £6 (£5 for members).

As usual, there will food available for those who wish to partake - 7.45pm start at the normal venue - the Kings Arms, Abergavenny.
