Sunday 8th July
Laurence Cottle Quartet
Generally regarded as one of the greatest electric bass players that the UK has produced, Laurence’s career has spanned session work with artists as varied as Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton and Seal, and a jazz CV that has seen him play with Jim Mullen, Jason Rebello and Dave Weckl, to name but a few. He is also a prolific composer, arranger and bandleader, and his big band has recently performed tributes to Jaco Pastorius and The Tower of Power. Tonight he brings an all star band to Boaters, featuring trumpeter Freddie Gavita, guitarist Paul Stacey and drummer Ian Thomas.

Sunday 15th July
Theo Travis
Theo is a powerful contemporary saxophonist and flautist, who has released several albums under his own name. He is also increasingly well known in the world of progressive music having toured and recorded prolifically, with artists such as Robert Fripp, Steven Wilson, Soft Machine Legacy and the psychedelic rock band Gong. In 2015 he also joined David Gilmour’s band for the Rattle That Lock tour. Theo is joined by Simon Carter on piano, Simon Thorpe on bass and drummer Winston Clifford.

Sunday 22nd July
Graham Dee
Graham has quickly become a firm favourite at Boaters. He is considered to be one of the country’s finest soul and jazz singers, and is also a member of the Climax Blues Band, with whom he has toured throughout the UK and Europe. He is a very well respected vocal coach, a role that has led him to work with many of the X Factor finalists, and is also a tutor at ICMP in London. Don’t miss this special opportunity to see Graham perform with Simon Carter on piano, Phil Mulford on bass and drummer Jack Pollitt.

Sunday 29th July
Blue Line
Anita Wardell Quartet
Jazz vocalist Anita Wardell has been acclaimed for the unique artistry she brings to scat and be-bop singing. Rave reviews from peers and critics alike have cemented her reputation as one of the finest vocalists of her generation. She is noted for her mesmerizing and captivating improvisations and vocalese lyrics to instrumental solos, and in 2013 Anita won best vocalist at The British Jazz Awards. She is joined tonight by Robin Aspland on piano, Jeremy Brown on double bass and Josh Morrison on drums.
