Generally regarded as one of the greatest electric bass players that the UK has produced, Laurence’s career has spanned session work with artists as varied as Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton and Seal, and a jazz CV that has seen him play with Jim Mullen, Jason Rebello and Dave Weckl, to name but a few. He is also a prolific composer, arranger and bandleader, and his big band has recently performed tributes to Jaco Pastorius and The Tower of Power. Tonight he brings an all star band to Boaters, featuring trumpeter Freddie Gavita, guitarist Paul Stacey and drummer Ian Thomas.

In 2015 he also joined David Gilmour’s band for the Rattle That Lock tour. Theo is joined by Simon Carter on piano, Simon Thorpe on bass and drummer Winston Clifford.
