Jamie Baum Septet + - US Tour, October 2021.

Monday, September 13, 2021

American flautist and composer Jamie Baum will lead her eight piece band on a ten date US tour in October 2021. Newsletter, including tour details attached.

Jamie Baum writes;

The Jamie Baum Septet+ is going on tour! Imagine that…in this crazy time…taking 8 people on the road to 10 different cities! Well, we are, and I have to thank all of the presenters for “going out on a limb” with us, and to CMA* and Jazz Arts** for their encouragement and support!

If you live in any of these locations (see below), we would be ecstatic if you would join us, and whether you can or can’t, please spread the word and share this newsletter. It won’t be a success without you! After having not played together for two years, we are so excited to perform for a “live” audience! (Well, to be honest, we did play a few weeks ago for the first time at the San Jose Jazz Festival, which was great, but it was just one set so really a bit of a tease!) We’ve got new music, old faves and lots of pent-up energy…I mean really now, taking 8 people to the West Coast is a rare event so you won’t want to miss it!

For those of you who’ve been apprehensive about “stepping in,” all of the venues are following CDC and local Covid guidelines, and we are comforted by that. Please do make sure to check out their websites before you come in addition to getting your tickets early. With some venues adhering to reduced capacity, that means tickets will go fast! Some shows will be simultaneously “live-streamed,” including the Soapbox Gallery on October 12th (please check website). Looking forward to seeing you!!
