The Green Note has forwarded its latest newsletter including details of forthcoming online musical events.

The fantastic musical lineups continue! Come join us!

Hello music lovers,

Hope you’re doing well… We’re moving into spring and also along the road out of lockdown. Shops and hairdressers will begin to reopen from next week, as well as outdoor eating/drinking. It’s still a little way away before Green Note will be able to reopen - we plan to open in late June, when most of the restrictions are due to be lifted. We’re already booking gigs for then and tickets will go on sale via our website as we confirm these. Many are already selling fast so don’t leave it too late to book!

In the meantime, we’ll be continuing with our twice weekly Virtually Green Note shows every Wednesday & Friday at 8pm. We’re really enjoying these… and it’s hard to believe that we’re soon coming up to our 100th episode!
In fact, we’re planning something a little special for that one!  To mark the 100th episode of Virtually Green Note on Weds 14th April, we have put together a special show featuring some of our very talented members of bar staff! Over the years, we have had many interesting, creative and talented people working behind our bar at Green Note, some of whom are musicians themselves. For this episode, we’ve invited three of our staff members to come together in a musically eclectic bill, which we hope you will enjoy! Regulars at our venue will probably recognise these faces from seeing them pulling pints at the bar, or serving you a glass or wine or a samosa… If you’re curious to hear their music, tune in to this show and help us celebrate our 100th episode in style!

And in the meantime, please join us tonight as we host a special show curated by True North Music featuring a triple-bill of Bluegrass and Americana plus some Appalacian roots music accompanied by step dancing and body percussion!

And other upcoming Virtually Green Note highlights include Scottish fiddle maestro Hannah Read (9th April); an international bill featuring Liz Simmons (US), Hanna Enlöf (Sweden), and Georgia Shackleton (UK) who we discovered this year at the recent Folk Alliance Conference (16th April); and a special triple bill on 21st April featuring Tré Burt, Sam Doores, and Sabine McCalla - 3 American artists you really won’t want to miss!

And please do spread the word about these shows to music loving friends and family - they’re a great way of discovering new music without having to leave the comfort of your sofa! To be kept up to date on a more regular basis, please follow us on our socials - links below.

Thank you all for your ongoing support, as always…

Lots of love,

Immy & Risa xx
