Quartet led by bassist and composer Phil Donkin seen by Ian at Dempsey’s, Cardiff on March 4th 2015. An international line up featured Ben Wendel (tenor sax), Glenn Zaleski (piano) and James Maddren (drums). The group played music from Donkin’s debut album as a leader, “The Gate” (Whirlwind Recordings, 2015).
