Based in Tours, France, and a leading figure in contemporary manouche and jazz guitar, Jean Guyomarc’h is celebrated for his lyrical playing, rhythmic precision, and deep roots in the European jazz tradition. Self-taught before formal study, his career has taken him from festival stages to prestigious French jazz conservatoires, performing alongside and learning from some of the genre’s most respected musicians. Jean’s work spans manouche swing, modern jazz, and cross-cultural collaborations, making his performances both virtuosic and warmly accessible. Our presentation at BJC comprises a very special HOT CLUB set comprising many familiar melodies, brilliantly played:
