Monday 16 June 2025: June Lunchtime Jazz: “Small Blue”
Small Blue is a jazz trio led by drummer/composer Martin Pyne with Marianne Windham on bass and David Beebee on piano. The group’s debut album, The Stealthy Moon, was released in February 2024 to enthusiastic critical acclaim. Small Blue’s music is intimate, but ranges far and wide in mood and tempo, taking in heartfelt ballads, mysterious grooves, evocative atmospheres and melodic swing along the way.
At The Guildford Institute, Ward St, North St, Guildford GU1 4LH. Lunch is available from 12 to 2pm, and the performance is a single one-hour set from 2 to 3pm,
