As previously reported on the Jazzmann multi-instrumentalist Jonny Mansfield has completed the challenge of recording a full album in a single day. The result, “Portrait”, is now available via Bandcamp. Congratulations to him on successfully realising this achievement.
From Jonny Mansfield’s Bandcamp page;
This album was composed, recorded, mix and mastered all in a day. August 6th. I woke up at 5am and released it at 12am on the 7th August.
This was a completely new challenge for me and I’m really happy to share this honest and clear output of where I’m at right now.
Thank you so much for getting involved with this and listening to the album, it’s nice to document this and make it into a ‘thing’. I’m really keen to work on this side of my music making as well as playing the tunes with other musicians.
There will be a limited run of vinyl (50 probably), if you buy the digital tracks and you’re keen to get the record then drop me a message and I’ll make a note to take the cost of the digital off the record for you.
Loads of love,
