Derby Jazz is offering three different sets of playing and learning opportunities this season.

DERBY JAZZ COLLECTIVE JAM SESSIONS Second Wednesday of every month at DUBREK. These self directed sessions are Ideal for competent players and singers with some experience of jazz.

THE FEELING OF JAZZ - SEVEN WORKSHOPS EXPLORING IMPROVISATION THROUGH THE MUSIC OF DUKE ELLINGTON. This monthly series of Sunday afternoon structured workshops are lead by Matt Ratcliffe. They start on September 14th and we still have places available for most intruments.

PLAY JAZZ WORKSHOPS. Held on the first Tuesday of every month these workshops, directed by Matt Ratcliffe, are designed to improve your jazz skills. If you’re a competent musician who wants to try playing jazz or an experienced jazz player who wants to improve these workshops are for you
