New Website Showcases Jazz from North East England and Beyond

http://www.jazzonthetyne.org, the new Jazz on the Tyne website gives audiences everywhere the chance to listen to and interact with the radio show dedicated to jazz in North
East England.
Since 2019, Colin Muirhead has presented Jazz on the Tyne on Hive Radio. A new, dedicated website provides a simple way of accessing all episodes of the programme, and getting in touch with the show.
Colin Muirhead says,
“With the new website, it’s even easier now to listen to topjazz from North East England and beyond! Plus, you can catch up with interviews with outstanding musicians.”
Amongst the many guests featured to date on Jazz on the Tyne are Zoe Gilby (Jazz Vocalist of the Year at the 2019 Parliamentary Jazz Awards), band Archipelago (nominee for UK Jazz Act of the Year at the 2021 JazzFM Awards), and Mercury Prize-nominated pianist Fergus McCreadie.

Originally broadcast by Community Arts Project North East, Jazz on the Tyne has been available as a free podcast on Mixcloud for the past two years. Presenter Colin Muirhead brings out a new show every few weeks, featuring jazz of all types from North East England and beyond. He also interviews musicians and previews events on the local jazz scene.
