Highlights for 2026 include the internationally acclaimed kamancheh virtuoso Kayhan Kalhor; a Barbican headline for 2008 Eurovision representatives for Turkey mor ve ötesi; one of the most iconic Kurdish singers of her generation Anyur; master of the baglama and one of Turkey’s most revered musicians Erdal Erzincan; and London-based Syrian oud player Rihab Azar.

MOR VE ÖTESI
Wednesday 4th February 2026 – Barbican, London
mor ve ötesi have been a powerhouse of modern Turkish rock for the last twenty years and will perform their biggest UK show to date with a headline performance at the Barbican. The group represented Turkey in the 2008 Eurovision in Belgrade and have released eight studio albums since their debut in 1996.

DAVID BERGMÜLLER
Friday 6th February 2026 – Kings Place, London
Austrian musician David Bergmüller brings the lute into the 21st century with his new album Know Thyself, shaped by minimalist grooves, subtle loops, and delicate electronic textures. Surrounded by effect pedals reminiscent of electric guitarists, several synthesisers and a computer, Bergmüller creates luminous, atmospheric tracks for various lutes; imbued with hints of minimal music and wistful, dreamlike melodies.

Rana Farhan grew up in Tehran but now lives in New York where she sings in Persian and English drawing inspirations from the likes of Billie Holiday, and creating a unique cultural product of both her native Iran and adopted country, the US. She combines the rich oral traditions of Persia with traditions that originated in American culture. Rana continues to push boundaries with her latest album Persian Soul; a new 10-track collection which returns to the poetry of Rumi, weaving his timeless words into original compositions that blend blues, soul and Persian influences in Rana’s signature style.

Aynur’s impressive voice and extraordinary musical narration represent the Kurdish music heritage of her cultural roots as a global genre. Her unique voice infuses traditional Kurdish folk music with the contemporary sensibility of Western music.
