Shez Raja Announces UK Summer Tour 2026 with Guthrie Govan – Following Acclaimed Album Spellbound

Following the acclaimed release of Spellbound in 2025, trailblazing bassist and composer Shez Raja returns to the road this summer with a UK tour, joined throughout by renowned guitar virtuoso Guthrie Govan.

Spellbound marked a significant milestone in Raja’s artistic journey, an ambitious and immersive project blending deep grooves, intricate rhythms and rich Eastern influences with contemporary jazz fusion. Featuring a world-class lineup including Dennis Chambers, Guthrie Govan, John Etheridge, Roopa Panesar, Tony Kofi, Vasilis Xenopoulos and more, the album received widespread praise for its virtuosity, musical depth and cross-cultural vision.

Now, in 2026, audiences will have the opportunity to experience this music live, with Raja and Govan leading a formidable touring ensemble across a series of standout venues nationwide. The pairing brings together two of the most distinctive voices in contemporary fusion, Raja’s deeply expressive, groove-driven bass work (performed on his custom 5-string Fodera bass) and Govan’s extraordinary virtuosity and improvisational firepower.

The tour culminates in a return to London’s iconic Jazz Cafe in Camden on 29 August, bringing the journey full circle following last year’s celebrated launch show.

With its fusion of East and West, tradition and innovation, the Spellbound live experience promises an uplifting evening of high energy and captivating musical storytelling.
