The improvised jazz jam session, Straight Pocket, which was founded by Renato Paris, has found a new weekly home at the Brixton Jamm venue in South London. Details attached.

I am writing on behalf of Brixton Jamm - a popular, multi-pupose venue located in Brixton, South London - as we have recently become the new home of the improvised jazz jam session, Straight Pocket, which was founded by Renato Paris.
I’m reaching out because, just as things really started to kick off for Straight Pocket, everything was obviously put on hold due to the pandemic. Therefore, we’d really appreciate any coverage or help with getting Straight Pocket off the ground post-pandemic as we believe that this session offers a fresh, affordable and accessible opportunity for young jazz musicians, particularly ones that are South London based.

£3.00 advance, £5.00 on the door, Free before 8.00 pm.
We’re opening our doors as the new home of Straight Pocket – an improvised jam session bringing people together in fellowship of the groove. Whether it be playing, participating in or simply enjoying the show – All are welcome.

Straight Pocket has already seen some famous faces, such as Thundercat, Kokoroko, China Moses and Theo Croker so you never know just who you might be jamming with.
