July Highlights - part 2
Hello Green Note Music Lovers,
Summer is in full swing at Green Note, and we’re serving up a diverse feast of musical treats to carry you through the rest of July. Whether you’re a long-time regular or it’s your first visit, there’s no better time to soak up the magic of live music, good company and a summer evening at Green Note.
UPCOMING HIGHLIGHTS…
This weekend is going to be a cracker at Green Note! We have 2 brilliant folk/Americana bands gracing the stage - Kicking it off on Friday (18th July) is A DIFFERENT THREAD who weave together British and American folk influences with lush harmonies and a vintage vibe, and on Sunday (20th July) THE LOST NOTES, renowned for their energetic and joyous live shows with a sound that “Fits in amongst peers like… Fleet Foxes, …Fairport Convention… Crosby Stills Nash and Young.” Both highly recommended!
On Saturday (19th July) we look forward to welcoming back the charismatic Italian singer-songwriter BANDINI, accompanied by his full band, whose mix of gypsy jazz, blues and theatrical storytelling brings raw, untamed energy to the stage — a must-see for lovers of Tom Waits-style grit and bohemian soul!
We are super excited for the Green Note debut next week from STEVE RAY LADSON who is currently traveling the world with 6-time Grammy Award winners and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winners The Blind Boys of Alabama. He blew Simon Cowell and the judges away when he auditioned for the current season of America’s Got Talent, and he’ll be bringing his soulful voice, heartfelt lyrics and gospel-infused Americana to our intimate stage next Tuesday (22nd July) - not to be missed!
More exciting Green Note debuts this month when RAGE AGAINST THE TAGINE take to the stage (Fri 25th July) - a powerhouse fusion group blending the soul of jazz with the fire of Middle Eastern and North African rhythms - this is fusion with flavour! And the fabulous NOELLE VAUGHN AND HER FLAMIN’ HEARTS, will be serving up rockabilly swagger, retro pin-up charm and sultry torch songs to round out the month in foot-tapping style (Sat 26th July).
This is just a selection of the many incredible artists who will be gracing our Green Note stage in the coming weeks, so please do check out our EVENTS PAGE for the full listings. Whether you’re into rebel folk, rootsy soul, gypsy jazz or vintage rock ’n’ roll, Green Note is your home for unforgettable live music! And please note that many of our shows sell out in advance, so we highly recommend grabbing your tickets early to avoid disappointment!
GREEN NOTE HITS THE ROAD…
We’ll be taking a break from our “Green Note Hits The Road” shows during August, but before that we’ll be taking the Green Note magic beyond Camden this month, with a few special shows at our “homes away from home.” Join us for unforgettable nights with the incredible JAMES MADDOCK (Thurs 17th July), whose raw soulful voice and unique blend of Folk Rock and Americana have made him a favourite on both sides of the Atlantic and led to him opening for renowned artists like Paul Weller and Counting Crows; the enchanting KATIE JAMES (Sun 20th July), whose Irish-Colombian roots shine through her beautiful fusion of folk and jazz with Latin influences; and the powerhouse EVE SELIS (Weds 23rd July), a dynamic singer-songwriter from California, who has spent over three decades captivating audiences worldwide with her powerful voice and evocative storytelling, and whose latest album, Dark Sky Blue, is a reflection of the journey from darkness to light.
And if you can’t decide what to book for, check out our SPOTIFY PLAYLIST for a taster of what’s coming up in July!
