More details
We have received the following information regarding this event;
Fuzzy lights are a richly acclaimed psych/folk/drone/post-rock band from Cambridge. Their fifth album Fen Creatures, was released in November 2025, and already the vinyl has sold out. The album examines environmental crisis through the folklore and history of East Anglia. Building on 2021’s acclaimed Burials, the band weave stories from Iron Age hill forts and medieval plague houses to Byron’s warnings and today’s rising sea levels, creating a temporal tapestry of ancient fears and modern concerns.
The quintet — Rachel Watkins (vocals/violin), Xavier Watkins (guitar/electronics), Chris Rogers (guitar), Daniel Carney (bass), and Mark Blay (drums) — expand their crystalline psych-folk sound with deeper excursions into experimental drone. Lead track ‘Greenteeth’ reimagines the tale of Jenny Greenteeth, a water spirit luring children to their deaths, while ‘War Ditches’ envisions Iron Age dead keeping vigil over a land whose people have lost touch with the earth. ‘The Promise’ connects the 1665 plague in Landbeach with the recent pandemic, underscoring shared experiences of loss and resilience.
Praised for taking folk beyond its boundaries, Fuzzy Lights stand in the lineage of Fairport Convention, Trees, and Comus, artists who found in tradition not nostalgia but guidance on how to live with the world.
Honestly this one is going to be so good. Here’s a bit of Fuzzy Lights to whet your appetite:
