Jazz on the Plaza returns this May, continuing to offer its now well-loved combination of intimate live music and a relaxed, welcoming setting. Hosted within the cosy surroundings of Café Yukari, the series has quickly become known for its attentive audiences, warm atmosphere and the simple pleasure of experiencing top-class jazz up close, accompanied by excellent food and hospitality.
This month’s concert features Welsh guitarist James Chadwick, joining pianist Terence Collie for a special duo performance. Chadwick is recognised for his lyrical, expressive style and refined touch, drawing on both the jazz tradition and contemporary influences. His playing is marked by clarity, warmth and a natural sense of musical storytelling, making him an ideal collaborator in this intimate setting.
The evening promises a rich and engaging musical dialogue, full of subtle interplay and spontaneity — a perfect reflection of the Jazz on the Plaza spirit.
Mood Indigo Events are run by Kingston based vocalist Janet McCunn and Hampton based pianist Terence Collie combining their efforts to bring great jazz music to SW London and beyond. This is all done without any funding and is reliant solely on your continued support in attendance at our events.
