More details
We have received the following information;
Porous - an invitation into a conversation with the River Lugg and Lammas Meadows - a new installation at De Koffie Pot, Hereford from Kate Gathercole,
Free - open daily from the 13th - 18th July, 1.30 - 6.30pm, upstairs in the Gallery.
Kate describes it as “an invitation into a conversation with the River Lugg and Lammas Meadows.
‘Porous’, is the product of an intra-action with the River Lugg and Upper Lugg Meadows over the course of 5 months - a slow exploration of relationship with place - with other.
Part group participation (singing with the river) and part solo collaboration with the River and Meadow, processes of the work were improvised, transitory, rooted in the moment, extending away from the actual into the imaginary. Methods included deep listening, collective intuitive sound-making, and the sharing of song, story and painting.
The materiality of making evolved in dialogue with the River and with the other lives entangled there, present and past, on the flat Meadows at the edge of Hereford city. In recognition of this creative collaboration half of all profits from any sales will be passed to a local river charity.”
Open at De Koffie Pot daily from the 13th - 18th July, 1.30 - 6.30pm, upstairs in the Gallery.
