‘Out Of The Woods’ - 2026 album tour
Alex Clarke presents her latest album, Out of the Woods, which celebrates the legacy of alto saxophonist Phil Woods. Featuring fresh reworkings of both classic and lesser-known Woods repertoire alongside her own original compositions inspired by his distinctive sound. This exciting new project showcases Alex’s deep connection to the bebop tradition.
Alex, a finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2020 & winner of the Rising Star category in the 2019 British Jazz Awards,is recognised as one of the most in-demand saxophonists on the British jazz scene andhas performed with notable names such as Alan Barnes, Alex Garnett & Mark Nightingale and regularly performs with The Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra.
Tonight Alex leads her own stellar quartet featuring some of the UK’s finest musicians namely:
Dave Newton - piano, James Owston - bass & Steve Brown - drums.
