The Robert Fowler Quintet
Wednesday 3 December from 8pm at the Guildford Pavilion, Woodbridge Rd GU1 4RP
Starting his professional career in 1986 with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, tenor saxophonist Robert Fowler has gone on to play with a wide variety of leading jazz musicians as well as touring with rock singer Bryan Ferry. Robert’s quintet, which includes Colin Oxley (g), Robin Aspland (p) and Matt Skelton (d), will be celebrating the music of the legendary songwriters Rodgers and Hart.

Stuart Henderson & Dave Newton
Monday 8 December from 2.00pm at the Guildford Institute, Ward St GU1 4LH
Sixteen times winner of the British Jazz Award for best pianist, Dave Newton has worked with a galaxy of jazz stars from Alan Barnes to the great American clarinettist Buddy de Franco while Stuart Henderson, formerly principal trumpet of The Scots Guards, has also become a leading figure on the UK jazz scene. Marianne Windham completes the line-up on bass.

The Christmas Project

The Christmas Project is an exciting international band led by two of the Netherland’s leading jazz musicians Henk Kraaijeveld and Jan Willem van Delft with Guildford’s Marianne Windham (Winner of the 2025 Parliamentary Jazz Award for ‘Services to Jazz’) on bass and Steve Brown on drums plus special guest, leading UK vocalist Clare Wheeler.
