Phronesis-Live album and tour

Phronesis, the excellent trio led by Danish bassist Jasper Hoiby are about to emabark on a UK tour during the course of which they will be recording a live album to be released on Edition Records

This is what Jasper has to say about the recording and tour;

Today (Wednesday 17th) is the very first day of the second ever Loop Collective Festival. It all kicks off at the Vortex and will last for 5 days and there’s a variety of great, beautiful and creative people involved..

Phronesis are on Thursday the 18th at 10:00pm.
I’m also playing with Fringe Magnetic, Gemini and Ivo Neame 4tet during the festival which are amazing bands and absolutely worth checking if you haven’t already..

Next Month Phronesis are playing a Jazz Services sup
ported tour which will feature amazing US drummer Mark Guiliana. The tour will include two days of LIVE RECORDING at a lovely venue ‘The Forge’ in Camden, London.
That means that on Wednesday and Thursday 3rd and 4th of March, a few of YOU will have the chance to join us and be part of the creation of our THIRD ALBUM!

The record will be released on Edition Records later this date August 2010.

Wednesday 3rd, Phronesis (featuring Mark Guiliana) @ The Forge, London
Thursday 4th, Phronesis (featuring Mark Guiliana) @ The Forge, London

Friday 5th, Phronesis (featuring Mark Guiliana) @ Komedia Club, Brighton.

Saturday 6th, Phronesis (featuring Mark Guiliana) @ The Edge Arts Centre, Much Wenlock.

From here the tour continues with Danish drummer Magnus Hylander Friis

Wednesday 10th, Phronesis at Matt & Phreds, Manchester.

Thursday 11th, Phronesis at The Spin Off, Leeds.

And finally,
Sunday 28th, The Sage Jazz Festival, Gateshead.
