Soul and R&B vocalist and pianist Stefan Mahendra brings his headline UK tour to Ronnie Scott’s, celebrating the release of his new EP Home Sweet Home. Born to a Sri Lankan father and German mother, Stefan Mahendra’s has long been influenced by jazz, soul and R&B, immersing himself in the music of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and D’Angelo from a young age.

Alto saxophonist and bandleader Lakecia Benjamin is one of contemporary jazz’s most captivating performers. A six-time GRAMMY nominee, she has won an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Jazz Album, and recognition as Alto Saxophonist of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association. Her music blends jazz, funk, R&B and hip-hop influences, and her live performances are renowned for their intense improvisation.

With more than 75 recordings to his name, Alexander was named the fifth greatest jazz pianist ever in The Fifty Greatest Jazz Piano Players of All Time. Saha Gnawa
Saha Gnawa make their Ronnie Scott’s debut, reimagining the Moroccan Gnawa tradition through New York’s contemporary jazz scene. Gnawa music, or “Sufi blues”, is revered throughout Morocco, often in ceremonial contexts built around trance and repetition. Gnawa combines devotional chant, cyclical rhythms, call-and-response vocals and the deep pulse of the guembri (three-stringed bass lute) with metal qraqeb castanets. Co-leaders Maâlem Hassan Ben Jaafer, a hereditary master of the gnawa tradition from Fes and leader of the Grammy-nominated group Innov Gnawa, and drummer/composer Daniel Freedman (David Byrne, Angelique Kidjo), bring together Gnawa musicians with a New York-derived jazz rhythm section.

Brandon Woody’s Upendo
Brandon Woody is a Baltimore-born trumpeter, composer, and bandleader whose music flows from the rich lineage of Black music, including jazz, gospel, improvisation, and beyond, to explore themes of love, resilience, and community. Hailed by The New York Times and Los Angeles Times as a rising force in contemporary jazz, Woody signed with the legendary Blue Note Records in 2024 and released his debut album, For The Love Of It All, in 2025.

Originally from Naples, guitarist, producer, and songwriter Dani Diodato leads London-based, jazz-fusion outfit PYJAEN, quartet SUNAAT, as well as with indie-pop singer-songwriter Arlo Parks. Co-founder Nicola Guida is a free-thinking, genre-bending pianist. A multi-award winner, his unique approach combines jazz, film scores, R&B leanings and hip-hop atmospheres, mixed with a fascinating use of sampling.

Butcher Brown are a multifaceted quintet from Richmond, Virginia, whose sound blends jazz, hip hop, funk, R&B, soul, rock, bossa nova, and more into what they call “Solar Music”. Their new album A Supreme Blue, out July 24th, is a collaboration with trumpeter Nicholas Payton, dedicated to Miles Davis and John Coltrane in the year of their centenaries.

Tenderlonious: 65 years of John Coltrane - Africa/Brass
In 1961, John Coltrane made history with Africa/Brass - his first record on Impulse! - capturing the sound of a continent in the midst of revolution (17 African countries had gained independence the year before). Sixty-five years later, contemporary London jazz figurehead Tenderlonious sets out to invoke that moment, honouring the original recording while pushing it forward with a Coltrane-like fervour.

Horatio Luna returns to Ronnie Scott’s to celebrate the release of his new album Ciccin on 22a. An Australian multi-genre bassist, producer and composer, Luna has built a prolific catalogue of releases spanning jazz, broken beat, house and hip hop. He is a founding member of the 30/70 Collective and has collaborated with artists including Jaubi, Tenderlonious, Alexander Flood and Jitwam.

Josh Smith Trio
Guitarist and bandleader Josh Smith began playing at six and was already working professionally in his early teens, building his reputation on the U.S. blues circuit before going on to tour internationally. Over the years he has performed and recorded with a wide range of artists, including B.B. King, Mick Jagger, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Johnson and Raphael Saadiq, appearing at major events such as the Grammy Awards and the Kennedy Center Honors. His playing is rooted in the blues but draws equally on jazz and rock, with a focus on phrasing, rhythm and musical interaction.

Emma Smith with Horns - Doing It My Way
Award-winning, internationally acclaimed vocalist Emma Smith returns to her home club, Ronnie Scott’s, with Doing It My Way, a thrilling new octet show celebrating the glamour, power and sophistication of the great jazz and big band tradition. Winner of the 2024 Parliamentary Jazz Vocalist of the Year award and recently named runner-up in the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, Smith has performed everywhere from the Royal Albert Hall to many of the world’s leading jazz clubs, collaborating along the way with artists including Michael Bublé, The Quincy Jones Orchestra, Jeff Goldblum and Postmodern Jukebox.

Main shows at Ronnie’s are spread across two sittings, with early show doors at 5:30pm for a 6:30pm start and second house doors opening at 8:30pm for a 9:15pm start. On single houses on Mondays and Tuesdays (check website) doors open at 6pm for a 7.30pm start. On Sundays, doors open at 12pm and 6.30pm for one sitting.

The Late Late Show
Ronnie Scott’s famous Late Late Show is the hottest ticket in London for late night entertainment.
