Tuesday, November 03, 2026
The Green Note has forwarded its latest newsletter with details of forthcoming musical events, including news of the venue's programme for the 2026 EFG London Jazz Festival.
Hello Green Note Friends,
There’s plenty to look forward to at Green Note over the coming weeks, with a fantastic mix of blues, Americana, country, soul and roots music, alongside some very special folk and jazz performances. Whether you’re a fan of familiar sounds or love discovering something new, we’ve got some wonderful evenings in store.
For lovers of blues, roots and Americana, we’re particularly excited to welcome back GUY DAVIS tonight (Tues 3rd Nov), the Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose music draws on blues, folk and storytelling traditions. Equally at home on guitar, banjo and harmonica, Guy is a captivating performer with a gift for bringing songs and their stories to life. Then a change to the bill tomorrow night - due to illness Rob Heron is no longer able to perform but talented old-time banjo fiddle duo THE PEGWELLS will be joining us instead, along with Holy Moly & The Crackers frontman CONRAD BIRD with a brand-new solo EP of poetic folk songs, and Dylan-inspired balladeering for what promises to be a brilliant double-bill!
LANA SHELLEY (Sat 7th Nov) offers an irresistible blend of blues, rock ’n’ roll and soul, with deep grooves, infectious energy, great storytelling and velvet, jazz-soaked vocals. And for something soulful and uplifting, don’t miss multi-awardwinning songstress LADY NADE (Wed 11th Nov @ The Water Rats), whose music brings together roots, folk, soul, Americana, jazz and blues in songs full of warmth, honesty and hope.
For fans of beautifully crafted indie-folk and thoughtful songwriting, SAM MOSS + DIETRICH STRAUSE (Thurs 5th Nov) bring together two established artists for a special double bill. If you love intimate performances, carefully crafted songs and the kind of music that draws you in through its lyrics and melodies, this is an evening to look forward to. DG SOLARIS + HATTIE WHITEHEAD (Thurs 12th Nov) offer something a little more adventurous, moving between intimate indie-folk, off-kilter pop and unexpected musical territory. DG Solaris, the project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Danny Green (formerly of cult indie-folk band Laish), returns for his fifth annual Green Note show, this time with special guest Hattie Whitehead. Expect new songs, old favourites, stories and some special collaborations.
There’s also plenty to tempt folk fans, with some really special performances coming up. THE RHEINGANS SISTERS (Sun 15th & Mon 16th Nov) celebrate fifteen years of sisterly musical artistry in a show that looks back over their remarkable journey while hinting at what comes next. Renowned for their adventurous approach to folk, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience their distinctive musical partnership live. Described by critics as “extraordinary” and “fearless”, the sisters bring together traditional influences and a wonderfully adventurous musical imagination. And HEIDI TALBOT + BOO HEWERDINE (Mon 16th Nov @ Heath Street Baptist Church) promise a lovely evening for fans of beautiful folk singing and exceptional songwriting. Award-winning Boo and Heidi, Folk Singer of the Year and a Best Traditional Song nominee, will be performing songs new and old, with a dash of humour and a good measure of storytelling.
Meanwhile, bluegrass fans won’t want to miss MOUNTAIN SONG (Fri 13th Nov), bringing a classic repertoire combining gospel, fiddle tunes and that unmistakable high-and-lonesome sound – a treat for anyone who loves traditional American roots music.
We’re delighted to be part of this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival again this year, with some exciting shows celebrating the best of contemporary and adventurous jazz. GEORGE CROWLEY / RUTH GOLLER / WILL GLASER (Sat 14th Nov) bring together three distinctive voices for an evening of exploratory improvisation. ROSIE TURTON & MIRYAM SOLOMON’S MAAR (Wed 18th Nov) blend voice, trombone and electronics in an intimate musical collaboration. FERG IRELAND TRIO (Sat 21st Nov) serve up adventurous modern jazz with influences spanning spiritual jazz, broken beat and swing. And if you can’t wait that long for your jazz fix, we have some special jazz collaborations in our Basement Bar this week- see website for more info!
This is just a selection of the many incredible artists who will be gracing our Green Note stage(s) in the coming weeks, so please do check out our EVENTS PAGE for the full listings.
