July Highlights - part 2

Hello Green Note Friends,

There’s still plenty to enjoy at Green Note this month, with another wonderful selection of live music from around the world. From intimate folk and Americana to vibrant West African sounds and adventurous jazz, July is packed with artists we’re really excited to welcome. If you’ve been meaning to visit, now’s the perfect time to discover someone new – or catch an old favourite in our cosy (air-conditioned!) Camden venue.

For lovers of acoustic music, THE LOST TRADES (Fri 17th July) bring their beautifully crafted songs and stunning three-part harmonies to our stage tomorrow night, creating the kind of intimate, heartfelt performance that’s perfectly suited to Green Note. We’re also hosting two special triple-bills this month, showcasing some of the most exciting emerging singer-songwriters around: LEMONGRASS + GRAHAM WEBER + IZZIE YARDLEY (Thurs 23rd July) and BEN P WILLIAMS + CORUJA JONES + KEEPER OF CALVES (Tues 21st July), with each artist bringing their own distinctive style to an evening of intimate, original live music. These are always gorgeous evenings and a great way to discover new artists! GYPSY STRINGS REVIVAL (Sat 25th July) are back this month with a joyful mix of bluegrass, Americana and country, combining dazzling musicianship, soaring harmonies and plenty of feel-good energy. And we’re looking forward to a Green Note debut from award-winning US songwriting duo SMYTHE & TAYLOR (Fri 31st July), bringing their signature blend of impeccable harmonies, heartfelt songs and engaging stage presence that has won them fans on both sides of the Atlantic.

We’re also delighted to present two exceptional artists celebrating the rich musical traditions of West Africa. ABDOULAYE SAMB’S MINNJIARABY (Sat 18th July) blends the sounds of Senegal with influences from across the region, creating music that’s joyful, uplifting and full of rhythm. And KADIALY KOUYATE (Thurs 30th July) returns to Green Note with his mesmerising kora playing and soulful songs, drawing on the rich traditions of Senegal while bringing his own contemporary voice to this beautiful music.

If jazz is more your thing, don’t miss HARRY DIPLOCK ELECTRIC TRIO (Fri 24th July). Led by one of the UK’s most exciting young guitarists, the trio mixes jazz, Latin influences and infectious grooves into a fresh, dynamic live show that’s guaranteed to brighten your Friday night.

We’re also very excited to be welcoming back the very brilliant SONS OF GUNS tonight (Thurs 16th July @ The Lexington). Rooted in blues, folk, soul, and 70s rock, they’re known for their rich vocal harmonies reminiscent of Crosby, Stills & Nash and the Eagles. Highly recommended!

This is just a selection of the many incredible artists who will be gracing our Green Note stage(s) in the coming weeks, so please do check out our EVENTS PAGE for the full listings.
