Sunday, June 28, 2015

The proprietors of the Green Note in Camden Town are justifiably delighted at the winning of this award at the recent London Music Awards ceremony.

From the Green Note, Camden;

Hi All,

We have some big news to share with you today, which we are very very excited about…

WE WON!!!!
It’s now official… Green Note has won the award for London’s Favourite Music Venue… and we won by a landslide!!!! The results were announced at the London Music Awards which took place at the Roundhouse last night… and we were there to receive our award. The event was organised by the Mayor’s Music Fund and our award was sponsored by Time Out.

What a perfect way to mark our 10 year anniversary! We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you again for all your support, both in voting for us and helping us to win this award, but also for being a part of Green Note over the years - to musicians and audience members alike we want to thank you… we couldn’t do this without all of you!! We feel that everyone has played a part in making Green Note the special and much-loved place it has become. And what an honour to now have this recognised in the form of an award! We are over the moon!! 😊

Congratulations to the Green Note on the granting of this ward. I have happy memories of my visits to this lovely, intimate little venue during my annual pilgrimages to London for the London Jazz Festival.
