I spend the 1990s in Manchester and much of that time was playing with these cats in different groups.
It’s there that my concepts coalesced. I became a jazz musician, and began performing my music.

Myke Wilson has the best ears and the humblest heart. Like all the best jazz cats, ears anoint far beyond chops.
Herbie Hancock met 18yo Myke at a jam session and tried to hire him on the spot. Similar stories are common in Manhattan but rare in Manchester.
Loose Tubes master bassist Steve Berry, used to bring his teenage son, Dan to my gigs. Now Dan plays with Bombay Cycle club.
Tom Vernon was a founding member of The Argonauts, which evolved into Nylon Man
