She’s back! Expect exhilarating swing from award-winning jazz vocalist and longtime Radio 2 & Jazz FM and Radio 3 broadcaster Clare Teal, who returns with a fabulous new show.
The Clare Teal 7 is a truly exciting collaboration between Clare and her magnificent band featuring the UK’s finest jazz musicians. Last year saw Clare celebrate her 25th anniversary of touring but with an extensive 22-album back catalogue, there wasn’t enough room to fully cover all the highlights of her exceptional career.
In addition to incorporating new arrangements of old favourites including ‘California Dreamin”, ‘Messin’ With Fire’, ‘Chasing Cars’ and ‘They Say It Spring’, this special concert features selections from shows Clare has curated specially for her concerts at Cadogan Hall over the last 20 years, including Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Doris Day, Julie London, The Great American and British Songbooks, Big Band Divas and Twelve O’Clock Tales.
Teal’s live shows are constantly evolving, always richly infused with jazz and critically renowned for their fabulous arrangements interspersed with Clare’s warm and witty storytelling.
A magical world where gems of vintage and contemporary songwriting are brought to life by using Clare’s unique and swirling palette of swing and jazz in their many forms, providing an evening of rich sounds.
