Hello Facebook friends,
This is just a quick message to everyone about the club.
There has been a lot of change at Alsager Jazz Club this year. Sadly, we lost Roger, our much-loved house drummer, also Sarah passed the baton of organising the bookings over to Gaz and at the same time, we lost our venue at the golf club but we gained another amazing venue just down the road, the Thirteen Club.
Unfortunately, our audience numbers are down. Some people haven’t made the move with us to the Thirteen Club, and we’re finding things quite difficult. In all honesty, if things continue as they are, we may struggle to make it to the end of the year.
We’re looking at ways to improve things, including collecting contact details so we can better communicate who’s coming up and keep everyone informed about future events.
Most importantly, though, we need your support. We’re asking if you’ll work with us to help keep the club going. If you only come along occasionally, we’d love to see you more often. Every person through the door makes a difference.
We’ve worked hard to maintain the quality of the music, keeping many of your regular favourites while also introducing some fantastic new musicians. Every artist we’ve booked is a truly outstanding player, and we believe there’s something special at every gig.
Jazz clubs like ours are becoming increasingly rare, and we’d hate to lose this wonderful community. If you enjoy live jazz and value having a local club, please come along when you can, bring a friend, tell others about it and help us keep the music alive.
Thank you for your attention and hopefully see you on Thursday!
