We are very excited to announce the signing of Denmark’s Girls in Airports, whose captivating soundscape crosses musical genres and geographical borders. Built on the unusual line-up of Wurlizter and Juno keyboards, drums, percussion and two saxophones, their music combines jazz, indie and urban folk into a unique expression of heart stirring melody-laden elegiac hooks, intense hypnotic grooves and dance-friendly globally-influenced rhythms.

Based in the Danish capital, the award-winning band have released three albums and won numerous fans on tours across Europe, China and Brazil since their formation in 2009, and their energetic and engaging live performances have made them one of the most talked about emerging bands on the international scene.

Girls in Airports are due to release their fourth album ? their first on Edition ? in Autumn 2015.

Ian adds;

This is great news. The band made a big impression with their lunchtime performance at Pizza Express Jazz Club as part of the 2014 London Jazz Festival. Hopefully their move to Edition will mean that we see a lot more of them in the UK.
