Jazz Scotland announces new CEO
Jazz Scotland, the Aberdeen-based organisation which produces festivals and year-round activities in Aberdeen, Dundee and Islay, is delighted to announce jazz musician John Youngs as its new CEO. John will replace Coralie Usmani who stepped down from the post in April 2025.
Neil Gibbons, Chair of the company Board said, “Having secured multi-year funding from various sources, Coralie leaves us in a very strong position, providing a great platform for our new CEO to take over. John Youngs brings a wealth of experience to the organisation from both the music industry as a working professional musician, and from the public sector as a civil servant, so is a perfect fit for the post. We look forward to hearing his ideas for the organisation.”
