Lichfield based trumpeter / guitarist Nick Dewhurst has forwarded details of some of his forthcoming live appearances with a variety of different line-ups.

Nick Dewhurst writes;

On Wednesday 18th March I’m going to playing as part of the Lichfield Jazz House Band as we welcome our next special guest to the Cathedral Hotel.  For this month, we’ve got Jazz Trumpeter Antony Stevens!  Tickets cost £15, and are available on the door.  Doors open at 7pm, and the music starts at 7.30pm. On Friday 20th March I’m playing with the Walsall Jazz Orchestra at Wrekin College in Telford.  The concert will be a joint concert with the school Jazz Band performing too.  Tickets & Info available here;

The 6-Piece Nick Dewhurst Band gets an outing on Sunday 12th April at the Hub at St Mary’s in Lichfield as we play our ‘Jazz & Funk Roadshow’, playing a selection of funky originals and covers.  Tickets available here

On Wednesday 6th May I’m absolutely delighted to be playing with the brand new West Side Jazz Orchestra at Campus West in Welwyn Garden City.  This debut performance of the West Side Jazz Orchestra will feature some of the UK’s top session musicians from the BBC Big Band, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra and Syd Lawrence Orchestra - playing the big band repertoire of: Bob Florence, Sammy Nestico, Thad Jones, Gordon Goodwin, Count Basie and Tom Kubis.
