Peter Slavid - ‘European Modern Jazz’ on the radio - 2025 year-end Radio Playlist.

Monday, December 15, 2025

In his two end of year shows Peter will play music from twenty one albums that have appealed to his own personal musical taste. Listings attached.

Peter Slavid writes;

Hi folks,

2025 has not been a good year for me personally. My house was flooded and we had to move into temporary accommodation for several months, and more recently I fractured my patella – now slowly recovering! However, through most of that my radio show has kept going!

During the year, up to the end of November, I played tracks from 294 albums (and received quite a few more!). Almost all came from independent labels. However I’m aware that there was still lots of music that I never got to hear.

Inevitably the largest single contribution came from the UK with 22%, down from 29% last year. A good spread across continental Europe with the noticeable exception of Spain and Portugal where I clearly need more contacts.

In my two “end of year” shows I’m playing 21 albums that have particularly appealed, for whatever reason, to my personal, rather quirky taste. This is NOT a “best of year” list, just an “end of year” list playing in alphabetical order. But I do really like all of them.

They will be playing on the Radio on Dec 14/28 and Jan 7/14

Have a great holiday and here’s to a happy trauma-free and musical 2026
Peter
