Alan Barnes & Mark Nightingale Sextet
Playing a full programme of well-known tunes, inventively reimagined for the sextet and led by two of the country’s foremost jazz musicians. Expect a programme of straight ahead jazz arrangements flawlessly played with inspired soling and interspersed with anecdotes and peppered with humour.

Blues Explosion perform a night of electrifying blues encompassing all styles from Delta Blues to New Orleans funk. Since its inception in 2008, our monthly blues night has remained a firm favourite on the club calendar, bringing top performers from the world of jazz and blues. Co-led by guitarist/vocalist Marcus Bonfanti (Ten Years After), pianist/vocalist Paddy Milner (Tom Jones) and featuring the dynamic Tony Remy (Jack Bruce) also on guitar, the Blues Explosion performs the music of BB King, Buddy Guy, Peter Green, Albert Collins, Dr. John and many more.

Pat Bianchi Organ Trio
Grammy-nominated organist Pat Bianchi returns with his regular working trio, featuring acclaimed saxophonist Troy Roberts and renowned drummer Colin Stranahan. Greek bassist, composer and producer Petros Klampanis splits his time between Athens, New York and Central Europe. He draws on Mediterranean and Balkan musical traditions alongside modern jazz, creating music that is lyrical, atmospheric and deeply personal. Named a “Bass Ace” by Bass Player magazine, he has collaborated with artists including Greg Osby, Shai Maestro, Arooj Aftab, Jacques Morelenbaum and Snarky Puppy, while his own recordings have earned international acclaim.

Chip Wickham
Saxophonist, flautist and composer Chip Wickham has become one of the leading voices in contemporary spiritual jazz. Originally from Brighton, he first came to prominence in the UK’s breakbeat scene, performing with artists including Nightmares On Wax and Graham Massey. At heart, though, Wickham has always been a jazz musician. After appearing on Matthew Halsall’s debut album Sending My Love in 2008, he began a long-standing relationship with Gondwana Records that continues today.

Alpha Cassiopeiae takes its name from the brightest star in the Cassiopeia constellation and is also a French instrumental duo built around keyboards and drums. Nathan Haines with guest vocalist Vanessa Freeman
For more than three decades, Nathan Haines has been at the meeting point of jazz, soul, hip-hop and electronic music. From his pioneering work with the late Phil Asher and their influential Sound Travels and Squire For Hire albums, to collaborations with Marlena Shaw, Louie Vega, Goldie, Jamiroquai and Chaos in the CBD, Haines has built a singular career around musicianship, improvisation and a deep connection to the dancefloor. He returns to Ronnie Scott’s with his London-based band and longtime collaborator Vanessa Freeman.

Bernell Jones II
A native of Memphis, Tennessee, saxophonist and composer Bernell Jones II creates modern jazz shaped by the musical traditions that have surrounded him throughout his life. Drawing from his church upbringing and the sounds of his hometown, Jones combines jazz improvisation with elements of gospel, R&B and funk to create his own distinctive sound. Since moving to New York City six years ago, Jones has built a reputation as a rising voice on the contemporary jazz scene, performing at venues including Blue Note Tokyo and alongside artists such as Olivia Dean and Wyclef Jean.

Alune Wade
Senegalese bassist, composer and vocalist Alune Wade presents New African Orleans, an ambitious new project exploring the deep musical connections between West Africa, Lagos and New Orleans. Drawing on influences ranging from Dr. John and Charlie Parker to Manu Dibango, New African Orleans is a vibrant celebration of shared musical roots, rich in rhythm, melody and groove. One of Africa’s most accomplished bassists, Wade has performed and recorded with artists including Marcus Miller, Joe Zawinul, Salif Keita, Bobby McFerrin, Gregory Porter and Fatoumata Diawara.

Known for his work with artists including esperanza spalding, Terri Lyne Carrington and Terrace Martin, Guerin has established himself as one of the most exciting young voices in contemporary jazz. Described by The New York Times as a “wunderkind saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist”, his music blends expansive fusion grooves, jazz improvisation, hip-hop, R&B and electronic textures.

Alex Webb presents The Pocket Ellington
Born out of saxophonist Tony Kofi and pianist Alex Webb’s shared love of Duke Ellington, The Pocket Ellington manages what ought to be impossible – creating a classic Ellingtonian sound with just four horns and a rhythm section. Great compositions from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s - Main Stem, Rain Check, Cotton Tail, Chelsea Bridge, Such Sweet Thunder and others - are presented in clever new arrangements which evoke the period but also offer solo space to these top-flight musicians.

A Grammy-winning producer, trombonist, composer and NEA Jazz Master, Delfeayo Marsalis has spent decades working with some of jazz’s greats, including Art Blakey, Max Roach, Elvin Jones and Ray Charles. For this European tour, he leads a new quintet featuring Eric Alexander, whose sophisticated hard-bop and post-bop playing has made him one of the most respected tenor saxophonists of his generation.

Jeff Lorber
Grammy Award-winning keyboardist, composer and producer Jeff Lorber is one of the true pioneers of contemporary jazz fusion. Growing up in Philadelphia alongside future jazz legends Michael and Randy Brecker, Lorber developed a sound rooted in jazz, funk and groove that would go on to influence generations of musicians. Across a career spanning more than four decades, he has collaborated with leading artists across jazz, R&B and contemporary music, while his production work has included artists such as Dave Koz, Eric Marienthal, Karyn White, DeBarge and The Isley Brothers.

Late Late Show hosted by Jamie Murray
Drummer Jamie Murray has a strong sense of writing; his compositions are personal and original with an electronic/jazz fusion style to them. Jamie has played with most of his contemporaries and peers in the new London Jazz scene, as well as crossing into the electronic pop world. Most recently, he has recorded with Binker Golding for Blue Note Re:Imagined. Currently Jamie is involved in several projects, and consistently touring Europe and the USA.

The James Taylor Quartet with special guest Yvonne Yanney
The James Taylor Quartet have set the standard for funky acid jazz and are largely responsible for the resurgence of the Hammond B3 in popular music. The James Taylor Quartet’s first single, Blow-Up (a funked-up version of Herbie Hancock’s main theme from the seminal 1960s film of the same name), was released in 1987 on the Re Elect The President label, which later became the Acid Jazz label. The track was championed by the NME and John Peel, appearing in Peel’s Festive Fifty chart for 1987.

Buena Vista Live
Formed in 1996 by American guitarist Ry Cooder and Cuban bandleader Juan de Marcos González, the original Buena Vista Social Club brought together Cuba’s finest veteran musicians to revive the island’s rich pre-revolutionary sounds. Their eponymous 1997 album became a global phenomenon, winning a Grammy and celebrating the timeless magic of Cuban music.

Bringing together the very best of Natalie Williams’ Soul Family residencies in one unforgettable evening, celebrating the music that has shaped the band over nearly two decades at Ronnie Scott’s. Drawing on the sold-out Motown, Philly Soul and Donny & Roberta shows, the set journeys through the great American soul songbook, from the irresistible grooves of The Jacksons, Diana Ross and Martha and the Vandellas to the gospel-rooted power of Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight.
Main shows
Main shows at Ronnie’s are spread across two sittings, with early show doors at 5:30pm for a 6:30pm start and second house doors opening at 8:30pm for a 9:15pm start. On single houses on Mondays and Tuesdays (check website) doors open at 6pm for a 7.30pm start. On Sundays, doors open at 12pm and 6.30pm for one sitting.
The Late Late Show
Ronnie Scott’s famous Late Late Show is the hottest ticket in London for late night entertainment. Running Wednesday to Saturday and hosted by some of London’s coolest artists and stars, tickets cost £12 in advance and £12-25 on the door. With entry from 11.15pm until 3am, the Late Late Shows are a popular post-dinner destination for drinks and entertainment in the heart of Soho.
