The Green Note, Camden Town, London - Newsletter 02/10/2026.

Friday, October 02, 2026

The Green Note has forwarded its latest newsletter with details of forthcoming musical events.

October Highlights

There’s plenty to look forward to at Green Note this month, with a brilliant mix of blues, roots, folk, singer-songwriters and music from further afield. From Western Swing and primal blues to Greek Rebetiko and Eastern European traditions, here are some of the highlights we’re especially looking forward to over the coming weeks…

Taking you back to the Texas dance halls of the 1930s and 40s, ED HICKS AND HIS HOT COW LICKS (Sat 3rd Oct) conjure a Saturday night from another place in time. NOTHING IN RAMBLING + KASPAR AND LUCY (Sun 4th Oct) promise a night of primal blues this Sunday, while THE VOODOOVENDORS (Sat 10th Oct) led by Congo Faith Healers frontman Sonny West bring their hot, heavy and dance-ready Voodoo rhythm ’n’ blues. Highly recommended!!

Fans of Americana will love LAUREN HOUSLEY (Sun 11th Oct) who takes the stage with a blend of thrilling and tender material, propelled by her distinctive, soulful voice.

For folk and singer-songwriter sounds, Montreal’s KAT PEREIRA (Mon 5th Oct) brings her luminous, maximalist alternative electro-pop to our Basement Bar. Drawing inspiration from queens like Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote and Saya Gray, she blends bold, socially engaged poetry with infectious melodies, exploring themes that are both deeply personal and universal: colonialism, feminism and the search for identity. ANNIE DRESSNER (Tue 13th Oct) follows with songs that paint vivid, visceral images and draw listeners deeply into their stories.

We can’t wait to welcome back Scottish superstar EDDI READER (Thu 15th Oct) to the stunning Union Chapel for a very special show this month. With 10 critically acclaimed solo albums, and awards in tow, Eddi continues to delight audiences worldwide. The past few years have proved to be some of her busiest yet, playing sell out shows as part of her ‘40 Years Live Tour’ in addition to appearing as special guest with the Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra for an extensive UK tour.

Looking further afield, our monthly REBET ASKER – GREEK ROOTS SERIES (Sun 11th Oct) explores the songs of some of the greatest Greek composers through the tradition of Rebetiko and is always a warm, family friendly afternoon of live music. We’re also happy to welcome back Green Note favourites DUNAJSKA KAPELYE this month (Fri 16th Oct) - traditional Gypsy and Eastern European tunes meet searing jazz improvisation for a vibrant, genre-crossing evening. Two very different musical traditions, but both offering a chance to hear sounds and stories rooted in rich cultural histories.

This is just a selection of the many incredible artists who will be gracing our Green Note stage(s) in the coming weeks, so please do check out our EVENTS PAGE for the full listings.
