Hello Green Note Music Lovers,
Autumn is in full swing, and so is our live music calendar! As the nights draw in, our stage continues to light up with an eclectic mix of world-class talent. Whether you’re after foot-stomping folk, heartfelt Americana, or genre-blending global sounds, there’s plenty to enjoy this month. Here’s a look at what’s coming up - mark your calendars and don’t miss out!
UPCOMING HIGHLIGHTS…
For lovers of songwriting and lyrical craft, JASON McNIFF (Thurs 23rd Oct) returns with his timeless blend of folk and blues, joined by very special guest SYLVIE SIMMONS, the celebrated music journalist and author of the definitive Leonard Cohen biography ‘I’m Your Man’. Expect an evening of finely drawn songs, literary charm, and musical storytelling at its best!
For fans of roots and Americana, don’t miss VERA VAN HEERINGEN & BROOKS WILLIAMS (Sun 19th Oct) – two world-class songwriters joining forces for an evening of rich acoustic storytelling. Also flying the Americana flag is Muscle Shoals, Alabama native HANNAH ALDRIDGE (Thurs 30th Oct), whose raw, southern soul never fails to captivate. And JESSICA PEARSON AND THE EAST WIND (Wed 22nd Oct) bring a fresh blend of folk, country and Celtic charm from Canada to our Basement Bar. All highly recommended!
If you’re after something with a bit more edge and energy, we’re excited to be hosting JAWARI (Tue 21st Oct @ Moth Club) - a multi-disciplinary collective that navigates a diverse musical landscape, citing inspiration from a variety of genres, and led by sitarist Tommy Khosla. For a touch of soul-pop with a rootsy heart, EMMA KING (Tue 21st Oct) returns with her powerful vocals and a brand new album. And rounding off the month in fine style are THE MAGPIES (Thu 31st Oct) - a dynamic all-female folk group blending Appalachian, Celtic and bluegrass traditions with modern flair. So much amazing music to choose from!
